This trap IS the preferred mole trap discussed in the book Modern Mole Trapping. WE TRAP OVER 2500 MOLES IN A 6-MONTH SEASON USING THE MOLESLAYER! The design is based on the trap's Netherlands origin. This version of the trap includes integrated setting handles. If you have weaker hands the handles make it easier to set the trap. A 16-spring wind makes it the strongest traditionally designed Talpex trap in the US. Notice the rounded, well-balanced claw design. This design allows the trap to close smoothly (preventing tunnel drag), scooping the mole into the jaws. Along with proper placement technique, the MoleSlayer trap design will lead to higher catch rates. The trap is made of high-quality galvanized metal -> sturdy, reliable, and reusable. The MoleSlayer may be deployed in any active tunnel, with little excavation, and can be set in all soil types. The trap provides a quick, effective, and humane kill. Don't be fooled by a poor-quality, inferior trap design -> You'll be very disappointed!

I just set my traps. I am hopeful. I never have had a problem until about 3 to 4 yrs ago when new construction happened on adjacent property. Your videos are what made me decide to purchase. They are a wealth of information. I hope this works, they drive me crazy and wreck my yard.
Have had other traps that required two pry bars. Not an intuitive way to set. Lots of angles to figure out. This trap is engineered.

Prior to that I’ve been using the small wire traps and an old rusty scissor trap and I could never get anything. When my traps arrived, I put two of them in and got two moles the next day.
