Just received these recently, and so far am impressed. They are a bit heavier built than some others I have (but don't have that "overbuilt" feeling), and seem to be a little better quality. Haven't had a chance to use them in any active runs yet but did play around with them in the yard some in an old run to get a feel for them. Something I noticed immediately is that they are quite easy to bed solidly in the run due to the curved legs; the MoleSlayer seems to make better contact with the walls and floor of the run than the straight-legged traps and I'm able to get them in solidly very quickly. Again, this is just fooling around with them in inactive runs, but they DO seem quicker to set, at least for me; really looking forward to using them in some active runs.

I declared war on the moles and Mole Slayer did the trick. Set first trap on Saturday afternoon. By Sunday morning had killed 4 moles. I love these traps and book has a lot of good information.

Caught my first mole today using this trap. I've tried other traps like gopherhawk but they don't work well in loamy, soft soil in my garden bed. They key to using this trap is to find a straight, main run and to cover the trap will looser material such as a garden soil amendment.

I have been trying to catch moles for years with little success. My son recently bought a home in the country and discovered he had a big mole problem so I decided to get serious on learning how to catch these yard destroying pests. I found the mole slayer traps with an internet search and decided to give them a try based on the informative videos they have on the web. My son and I have caught 10 moles in less than 2 weeks.......6 at his place and 4 at mine. Soon we will have caught them all and our yards will never be lumpy again. These traps are well built and easy to set. I image the ones with handles are even easier to set. VERY HAPPY with this purchase.

I’m not a mole trapper nor have any experience. I’ve tried multiple different traps with no success. I bought two of these and I did catch a young mole within two days of buying them. The design is pretty great and works in my sandy soil well- whereas many others do not work well with my soil. I do think there’s a learning curve where to put them, as I am guessing for the most part having only googled the information.

It took a few days of moving the traps before I learned placement. The garden was being elevated everywhere, especially the asparagus patch, so I had to take action. Today I had a mole in the trap. Yesterday I sent an e-mail to the seller asking for advice and got a detailed reply by evening. Good traps and good people to work with.

It's taken me a while, but I think I'm getting there. Initially, I wasn't having any luck seeing any of my traps produce a catch. But, I think I've figured it out for the most part. This last Saturday I trapped two moles in my yard and was very happy with it. I think I had been setting the trap wrong in the beginning. I feel more confident about it now. It IS a good product.

I have been trying to catch Houdini ( gopher) for six months.He has torn up our front lawn.I have tried poison,flooding,gas,traps and carbon monoxide.A licensed gopher trapper recommended trapline gopher trap.Houdini died in the first four hours.

Within 24 hours of setting 1 trap i got a big mole. Could not be happier!

I used to carry a tile spade for setting traps. This knife has made me a better mole trapper and has lighted my load while working. I highly recommend this knife to anyone pursuing moles.

I’ve used several different styles of traps over the past 2 months trying to solve my mole problem. I’ve used the gimmicky scissor style that you step on all the way to the victor out of sight. Poor results from everything I’ve tried. Actually zero results. The moleslayer on the other hand. Excellent trap! First night I set 3 traps and caught one. I’ve been using them for about 2 weeks and have taken out 5 moles on 3 traps. Just ordered 4 more! The moleslayer is an awesome trap and would highly recommend. Matter of fact I already have. I’ve already turned a couple of my friends on to them! They should be ordering very soon. Great trap.

The book is very well written and easy to understand. From the biology of moles to expert trap setting techniques, it's all in there. As far as the traps,they were easy to set and very effective.
